Have your child make a tally graph showing how many of each apple colour there are. Have your child count the tally’s and write the whole number.

This is a great way for children to practice printing, one to one correspondence,  addition and learn how to chart.

• Hold up one finger, have your child hold up one finger, touch fingers and say ‘one’.
• Hold up two fingers, have child hold up two fingers, touch fingers and say ‘two’.
• Hold up three fingers, have child hold up three fingers, touch fingers and say ‘three’.
• Hold up four fingers, have child hold up four fingers, touch fingers and say ‘four’.
• Hold up five fingers, have child hold up five fingers, say Give Me Five and give each other a high five!

This is such a good use of senses to teach counting. Child will learn by sight, sound and touch.
