Active children need fiber, protein and iron. One of the best source for these nutrients is beans. Parents know that beans are not usually as a child’s favourite food so make it fun for them with this really easy, inexpensive snack.
Ingredients per 4 servings:
- 2 Tortillas
- 1/2 cup Refried beans
- A little Cheese, grated
- Mild Salsa
Directions:
- Spread the refried beans onto one tortilla.
- Sprinkle cheese on top of beans.
- Place other tortilla on top of beans and cheese.
- Cut up into 8 equal triangles. (Cut a + in the middle of the tortilla and then an X into the middle)
- Let the kids dip the triangles into the salsa.
They will likely love it!
